About us
Life has given us all kinds of opportunities. Each of us grew up in Germany on family farms. But then we took the best decision ever to immigrate to Canada and finally settling in this beautiful part of Manitoba. We accept the challenge of providing a great vacation, being welcoming hosts for an array of guests all over the world and taking you on unforgettable adventures on horseback. We are looking forward to meeting you and having you mark your dot on our world map!
Meet the owners
Val, Ray’s wife, comes from Quebec and spent the summer of 2013 with us to learn English and further her knowledge of horses. Fast forward to today and she’s not only fallen in love with Manitoba but also with Ray. She has her Western Riding Level 4 and will help you learn all you need to know about horseback riding. She is currently working on becoming a Certified Licensed Guide. Aditionally, Val is taking courses to eventually help Ilse with the admin side of the business.
Great Service
Between the 4 of us, we can help you in English, French and German! We strive to make your stay awesome! Book your stay with us today or send us a message if you want more information.
Ilse, Tom’s wife, is the mastermind behind HI-Rossburn and handles all the bookings, stays, books and anything else that is not horse related. She has a solid business background and is not scared to think outside the box. If not busy in the house or cabins, you may find her in the garden during the summer months or on the ski trails in the winter. She knows a lot about our area and what it all has to offer, so ask away if you need suggestions on what to do while staying with us.
Furry team members
Very important are of course also our furry team members – our (not-so-guarding) guard dogs and our amazing horse gang!
Tom and Ray love their Tennessee Walking Horses and riding in the Park. They have combined that love and are now sharing it with you as Certified Licensed Guide for the Riding Mountain National Park, MB. From rides on the Ranch to camping in the Park, they will be with you all the way and share their wealth of knowledge of the Park with you. Just need to ask them!
