Enjoy an unforgettable family weekend on our ranch, discovering us and our surroundings.
Enjoy the peaceful country life
After checking in, settle in your cabin on the Ranch property. Your cabin will be exclusively for your family/ group. Each cabin (for up to 10 people) has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom facilities, 2 bedrooms with bunk beds, a living room, and a deck to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and the peaceful view over our fields. No meals are included in this option – Rossburn has a grocery store where you can stock up and there are some restaurants (also for take away) around.
Come as a family of THREE (two adults & one child). Possibility to add more children/ companions or non-riders.
PS: Even though it is named Family Package … you can of course bring whoever you want to! Friends are family as well, right? 😉 … If you are interested in this option, but only two people: Please contact us.
Enjoy your first ride on the evening of your arrival. You will get to meet your horse for the length of your stay. After that, we will give you a quick “how to ride lesson” before taking you out on your very first ride: a one hour ride at the ranch (Homebound). Day 2 will bring you into Riding Mountain National Park with our Jumpstart, our two hour tour, starting at 11am. Have your own lunch ready for a break in between at a rustic campsite! Your last day starts with our 2 hour ride Buckaroo at 11 am on the ranch property and includes a check-up on our cattle herd. Use the chance to ask our cowboys all the questions you have about the more traditional way of raising beef cattle! All your rides will be exclusively for your family/group and not mixed with other groups.
Please note: No certain age requirement – your kid needs in any case to be able to sit on a horse on its own and it will not be placed on a horse with you. You know best if your kid is able (and comfortable) with doing so. Out of experience, we cannot really recommend taking kids younger than around 5/6 years along. We can also take the kid’s horse on a leash and tie it to the guide’s horse.
Late arrival on Friday and it is too late for an evening ride? No problem. In this case, you start with Homebound Saturday morning at 9:30 am, get back on the horse for Jumpstart at 4pm (Bring food for a barbecue in the park!) and end with the Buckaroo on Sunday.
Experienced or more adventurous? Switch both 2 hour rides to a 4 hour ride in Riding Mountain National Park on Saturday instead.

Regarding the Covid-19 situation: We want our guests to feel safe at the ranch while staying! The cabins are secluded and you do not need to share facilities with other guests. Further, we do our best to minimize direct and close contact with our guests as far as possible. The cabins are properly cleaned after every guest and be blocked for 30 hours before the next group can arrive. Please note that there will be no cleaning during your stay but a regular garbage pick-up will be done at a designated spot outside. When going for rides, your group will not be mixed with other people – it will only be you, your companions and our guide. Further, we are trying to minimize close contact as much as possible. Despite the circumstances, we are happy to welcome you at our ranch again – together we will all try to make the best out of the situation and make your vacations unforgettable 🙂
